UW-Eau Claire football falls to Coe College in double OT

EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - UW-Eau Claire football fell short to Coe College on Saturday, 43-41 in double over time. 

Coe College took an early lead, scoring 14 unanswered points in the first quarter.

The Kohawks lead the Blugolds 21-7 at half time. 

But, UWEC rallied back in the second half, tying the game up at 28 in the fourth quarter. 

Blugolds and Kohawks went into double OT, where Cole College controlled the ball in the second OT period. 

Coe College scored from the one-yard line on a wild fumble recovery in the endzone. They then went on to convert the two-point try with a pass into the endzone, taking the lead 43-35.

UW-Eau Claire scored a touchdown on its next possession, but the Kohawks defense stopped the Blugolds from making a two-point conversion.

Coe College won the game with an interception in the endzone.
