Eau Claire (WQOW) – The Eau Claire Pizza Hut legion baseball team has had the offense to start this season, and there was no sign of slowing down after they routed Chippewa Falls 11-0 on July 4th.

The game was scorless until Marcus Cline sent a shot to left center in the third, knocking in two runs and putting Eau Claire on the board. Then it was a big fourth for Pizza Hut starting with a Joel Zachow bunt that Chippewa couldn’t field cleanly, and the error brought home two more. Next it was Connor Stoik who sent a rocket up the middle bringing in two, and giving Eau Claire a 6-0 lead. Add in a few more walks, and by the end of the fifth Pizza Hut had a 11-0 lead and the win.

The two teams are set up for a rematch on Tuesday.
