MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers has issued eight more pardons. Evers issued the pardons Sunday, a month after issuing Wisconsin’s first pardons in nine years. Evers re-started the pardons board in June and issued his first pardons, to four people, in October. Evers’ predecessor, Republican Scott Walker, never issued a single pardon over his eight years as governor. The latest pardons were recommended by Wisconsin’s pardons board.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who injured two children and their parents outside of Fiserv Forum. The crash happened Saturday night in downtown Milwaukee. Police say paramedics took the children, ages 5 and 8, and the parents to hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening. The family was crossing a street when a car made a left turn and struck them in the crosswalk. Police are searching for a 2018 silver four-door Chevrolet Malibu.

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (AP) — A man who was convicted of murder in the drowning death of his wife 19 years ago in the bathtub of their suburban Chicago home has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. The sentence imposed on 70-year-old Frank Buschauer by Cook County Judge Joseph Cataldo likely means that Buschauer will die in prison because under Illinois law he must serve the entire 25-year sentence.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee police say a driver whose vehicle rolled over and crashed on the city’s east side had been shot. The crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. Police say the gunshot wounds were serious and the driver is in critical condition at a hospital but is expected to survive. Authorities say the circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
