A strong geomagnetic storm will give us an opportunity to see the northern lights Monday morning before the sun rises.
This is when we will have the highest Kp. Northern lights could still be possibly seen all the way through Monday night into early Tuesday morning.
An aurora forming highly depends on current conditions and observations. So, even if everything is looks right with a high chance of having them, we could still end up with a dark night. Either way if you haven't seen them before, you don't want to skip an opportunity to witness mother nature's beauty.Â
The good news for those taking a chance to see them tonight, skies are partly cloudy with a low of 65°.Â
Monday stays partly cloudy and humid with a high of 87°. We'll continue to have highs in the 80s for much of the work week.
However, an upper-air pattern change will begin to shift us towards fall-like weather.Â
This change gives us rain chances Thursday night through the weekend and brings us much needed rain that we've been missing out for almost all of September.Â
