150 new jobs coming to Lake Hallie concrete plant

Lake Hallie (WQOW) – Roughly 150 jobs will be created over the next five years as a concrete company celebrates its expansion in Lake Hallie.

Back in June employees started working in the newly expanded Huffcutt Concrete plant.

Within the $20 million facility, workers make precast products like utility buildings, restrooms, and storage facilities. Huffcutt’s products are shipped to the lower 48 states.

President and owner Brian Seubert says Lake Hallie came to the rescue when his team was looking for a site to expand. “We searched several different sites. Some of them were more difficult and complicated than others. We ended up choosing Lake Hallie because of their business-friendly attitude,” said Seubert.

Seubert says the Chippewa Valley in general was a good place to expand because it has the resources for his aggregate and rock suppliers, and there is access to several major highways.
