Polk County (WQOW) – Authorities in Polk County say someone knows something about the disappearance of Rose Bly 10 years ago this week.
They are hoping a press conference with age-enhanced photos and a video will help make that person come forward.
Authorities on Friday said they have received 200 plus tips and conducted 150 interviews, yet, Bly is nowhere to be found.
“My life will never be normal,” Bly’s mother said in the newly-released video. “There is a hole in your heart that can’t be filled.”
Sheriff Brent Waak said the community and Bly’s family want answers, which is why they are trying this new approach.
“Someone knows something,” Waak said. “I hope she is still out there alive.”
Waak said it is not unheard of for a person to be missing for 10 years and suddenly come back. He said it has happened around the country. Now, he hopes it can happen in northwest Wisconsin.
Bly was 21 years old when she vanished without a trace on August 21, 2009. Waak said she left her St. Croix Falls home and was en route to her cousin’s house just miles down the road in Cushing. She never showed up and has not been seen since.
COLD CASE: Authorities in Polk County say a woman is still missing 10 years later. Today, they are providing updated photos of Rose Bly.
