Eau Claire County (WQOW) – For the second time this month, the health department says a bat in Eau Claire County has tested positive for rabies.

Earlier in the month, a bat was found with rabies in Phoenix Park. That bat was found crawling on the ground and unable to fly.

Now, health officials found a bat with rabies in the 2200 block of North Hillcrest Parkway in Altoona. This bat fell from the side of a business and was not able to fly.

The health department said if you had possible exposure to either bat you should seek immediate medical attention.
