Eau Claire (WQOW)- The Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker is back in Eau Claire and children in the Chippewa Valley get a chance to star in the show.

Tuesday, children ages six to 18 auditioned at Infinity Dance Center in Eau Claire, and the audition director from Ukraine, Mariia Yevdokymova said everyone made the cut.

She said the kids will rehearse at the dance center before taking the grand stage at the Pablo Center on November 27.

She said it’s a great opportunity for young dancers to perform on the big stage with professionals, but there are some challenges.

“I must find how to speak with them,” said Yevdokymova. “I must find how to teach them, so it’s very difficult. I must be not only dancer. I must be a friend, so we must make friendship all together. So, yeah it’s really difficult but it’s so interesting to work with them. I like it.”
