Eau Claire (WQOW) — Another pop of color will soon be coming to the city of clear water.

Wednesday morning, Downtown Eau Claire Inc. awarded a $2,000 grant to Pablo Properties to add a mural to the side of the Fire House building. The mural will be on the side of the building that faces Graham Avenue. Now, a bidding process will begin for local artists interested in completing the project.

A number of murals have popped up around the downtown area recently, including at the Brewing Projekt, Career Development Center and across from Ramone’s Ice Cream Parlor on Farwell Street.
