Eau Claire (WQOW)- Those taking in the tunes at Country Jam can also help the hungry in our community.

For the first time, Country Jam is teaming up with Feed My People Food Bank to host a food drive Thursday through Saturday on the Jam grounds.

Feed My People Food Bank officials said you can donate non-perishable items at both the VIP and general admission parking lot.

Feed My People Food Bank is hoping this new idea will lead to an influx of donations.

“It’s a great way for us to get a variety of products in that we normally wouldn’t. That means a lot to the families who we’re reaching out to and able to distribute to,” said Amanda Parkinson, the development specialist for Feed My People Food Bank.

Parkinson said there will also be a silent auction Friday, a signed guitar from Jake Owen, and potential backstage passes. All of the proceeds will go to Feed My People Food Bank.
