Eau Claire (WQOW) — Preparations are underway for Hope Gospel Mission’s annual Easter dinner.
Each year, Hope Gospel opens its doors for anyone who may be in need of a hot meal and some company around Easter.
Monday, volunteers from Thorp High School helped organizers get ready by creating table centerpieces, rolling silverware and wiping things down.
Officials at Hope Gospel say they’re excited to host the meal at their new location.
“We have not hosted a community dinner here yet, so we’re very excited to be in our new building and thankful to a very supportive community that makes all of this happen,” said Rob Gerber, stewardship director for Hope Gospel.
Gerber also told News 18 anywhere from 80 to 100 volunteers will help prepare for the Easter dinner. If you’re interested in attending, the meal will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Hope Renewal Center for Men.
