Packers to face Bears in opening game of 100th NFL season

(WQOW) – While football season is a little over five months away, Packer fans won’t have to wait long to see the green and gold take the field once the season kicks off.

According to the NFL, the Packers will take on their longtime divisional rival, the Chicago Bears, in the opening game of the NFL’s 100th season, according to a tweet from the league Monday afternoon.

Chicago, coming off a 12-4 campaign in 2018, will be the hosts at Soldier Field for a traditional — and fitting — opening game to a historic season for the NFL..

The Packers, who slumped to a 6-9-1 finish last season, defeated the Bears in thrilling comeback fashion at historic Lambeau Field, 24-23, in each team’s 2018 season opener.
