Barron Co. man sentenced for beating woman, leaving her with shattered bones

Barron County (WQOW) – A Barron County man accused of beating a woman, leaving her with fractures and shattered bones was sentenced Thursday.

The victim told police she was trying to get Jason Rush treatment for meth addiction when he became angry.

She said he beat her with his fists and an aluminum pipe for about two hours.

In December, as part of a plea deal, Rush pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and false imprisonment.

Thursday, Judge J.M. Bitney sentenced Rush to five years in prison followed by six years of extended supervision. He’s also ordered not to have contact with the victim or her family.
