Chippewa Falls man charged with sexually assaulting girl, 11, in church parking lot during beer run

Chippewa County (WQOW) – A Chippewa Falls man is charged with three felonies including first degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.

Craig Belden is also charged with two counts of child abuse.

If convicted on all charges, he could spend 72 years behind bars.

According to the criminal complaint, an 11-year-old girl told police Belden assaulted her in a church parking lot while on a beer run and again in the parking lot of the dog park.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Belden remains in the Chippewa County Jail on a $1,000 cash bond.

Belden is due back in court January 30 for an adjourned initial appearance.
