Barron County (WQOW) – Police say Jake Patterson, 21, is the man who shot and killed James and Denise Closs and abducted their daughter Jayme.
Right now, he is in custody at the Barron County Jail.
Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said Patterson faces two counts of homicide and one count of kidnapping. He has not yet been formally charged.
The sheriff said he shaved his head to change his appearance in order to elude police. Fitzgerald added Patterson was likely looking for Closs when he was arrested.
Patterson will be in court Monday at 3:30. News 18 will be there as well.
Little is known about him. An internet search turned up nothing. He seemingly has no social media presence. Fitzgerald said he has no criminal history in Barron or Wisconsin.
We learned earlier he was unemployed, but according to a rep from Jennie-O Turkey in Barron, Patterson did work for the plant for just one day nearly three years ago.
In a statement, President Steve Lykken said he was hired one day, but quit the next, explaining that he was moving away from the area.
Jayme’s parents, James and Denise worked at the processing plant for 27 years.
Sheriff Fitzgerald said Patterson may have worked elsewhere in the Barron area. They are still working to confirm that.
