Tree of Hope ceremony tonight to honor Jayme Closs

Barron County (WQOW) – A tree lighting ceremony Wednesday night in Barron will pay honor to Jayme Closs.

Closs went missing the night of October 15, the same night her parents were found shot dead in their rural Barron home.

Wednesday night starting at 5, a ‘Tree of Hope’ will be lit, accompanied by speeches from Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald, Jim Snee, the CEO of Hormel Foods and Barron Superintendent Diane Tremblay. The event is at Riverview Middle School.

Music will be provided by the Land of Lakes Choir and a prayer will be given by Father Bala of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Around 5:25, a recording of ‘Let it Be’ will be sang by Chris Kroeze, a final-four contestant on ‘The Voice.’

Where: Riverview Middle School, 135 W River Ave, Barron, WI 54812

When: Wednesday, November 12 at 5 p.m.

Parking: Additional parking can be found on the north side of Riverview Elementary, the Kiwanis Skate Park and Soccer Field, Day Development Center and the Barron City Pool.
