Child hospitalized, father behind bars in Osseo child abuse case

Osseo (WQOW) – An area dad is behind bars facing charges of recklessly causing great bodily harm to a child, while his child is in a Rochester hospital.

According to the Osseo Police Department, Mitchel Feyen is facing those charges after his child was taken to the Osseo ER with injuries sustained from an apparent child abuse case (shaken baby syndrome) on December 3. The child was flown to a Rochester hospital.

An Osseo officer went to Rochester to interview the parents of the child. The following day Feyen was arrested and booked into the Trempealeau County Jail.

There is no word on the child’s current condition.

Today was the warmest day of the month with high temperatures in the low to mid 40s across western Wisconsin. The only other days this month in the 40s were this past Saturday and Sunday. While temperatures will be in the upper 30s near 40 again tomorrow afternoon, it won’t be as nice of a day.
