Eau Claire (WQOW)- Electric vehicles have been a topic of conversation around the Eau Claire Energy Cooperative and on Saturday, you are invited to drive and learn about these cars at this special event.
This will be on Saturday April 27. Co-op members and the public are invited to drive and learn about electric vehicles at a special event to be held at the Chippewa Valley Technical College’s Energy Education Center on the west side of Eau Claire.
From registration at 8:00 a.m., to breakout sessions featuring Electric Vehicles 101, maintenance, a panel of electric vehicle owners and the future of electric vehicles, it will be an opportunity for the public to learn what all the buzz is about regarding these cars. Displays and breakout sessions will be available from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This can be especially helpful for people who have never been close to an electric vehicle.
It’s a FREE day to talk with current electric vehicles owners and those people who work in the industry. No need to register ahead of time. Be sure to bring your driver’s license if you want to drive an electric vehicles.
According to Adam Wehling Dean of Agriculture, Energy and Transportation at CVTC, “Automobiles, lawn and garden equipment and powersports are a few industry areas rapidly developing electric equipment. With homeowners and businesses using these items daily, the opportunity to grow this market sector is huge.”
CVTC is co-sponsoring this event so the public can learn about and ask questions about the new electric equipment that’s available.
Again, this is free to the public and will be on Saturday, April 27 at Chippewa Valley Technical College – Energy Education Center.

Registration and refreshments will be at 8:00 a.m. Then learning sessions and the test drives of Electric Vehicles will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
