Supreme Court to rule on Facebook bias case involving Barron Co. judge

A first-of-its-kind case here in Wisconsin will go before the Wisconsin Supreme Court after a Barron County judge was accused of bias because of a Facebook friendship. 

Drunk driver who led officers on a car chase through people’s lawns sentenced

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jon Peterson, 30, of Black River Falls was driving drunk and without a license in early May. When stopped by police, deputies asked him to get out of his vehicle. Instead of getting out, law enforcement said he drove away from police “at a high rate of speed”.
