Eau Claire (WQOW) - The recent warm weather has many local golfers ready to pull out their clubs and hit the fairways.
The snow is almost completely gone from Hickory Hills Golf Course in Eau Claire, and the staff is ready for a new season.
Course owner John Norby says because golf can be played while social distancing, he expects people to be eager to tee off.
"With the protocol and safety going on, we're really making sure that everyone is following what is needed to stay safe," Norby said. "Any carts that go out come back in and get sanitized completely. Everybody is tired of being cooped up and need to get outside."
Hickory Hills plans to stagger tee times by seven to 10 minutes to help maintain social distancing. Weather permitting, Hickory Hills plans to open in the next week or two.
