EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - Sentence was handed down Monday for a Chetek man charged in an overdose death at an Eau Claire hotel in 2017.
Judge Emily Long sentenced Cody Ormond to six years in prison today. He was originally charged with reckless homicide, but pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of delivering heroin.
Police were called to the Regency Inn and Suites in December 2017 where a man was found dead from a heroin overdose. A search of his phone turned up evidence that Ormond planned to deliver drugs to him.
