‘Jaws of Life’ used to remove Tiger Woods from vehicle crash


LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities and Tiger Woods’ manager say the golf star has suffered leg injuries in a vehicle rollover in suburban Los Angeles and is undergoing surgery.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says Woods was alone in the vehicle and had to be extricated from it Tuesday. No other cars were involved in the wreck that injured the golfer.

An ambulance took him to a hospital and his condition isn’t clear.

Woods was in Los Angeles over the weekend as the tournament host of the Genesis Invitational at Riviera.

(WSIL) - Tiger Woods was injured Tuesday during a single-vehicle crash in Los Angeles County, California.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said around 7:20 a.m. Woods' was driving north when his vehicle crashed.

Woods was extricated from the vehicle with the "jaws of life" and taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
