Employee’s death leads to citation, fine from OSHA

AUGUSTA (WQOW) - An area company is facing fines after the death of one of its employees.
Mary Falk, 58, of Eau Claire died in July 2020 while working at Bush Brothers and Company in Augusta.
Now the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OSHA, has filed a citation classified as 'serious' against the company. The citation accuses Bush Brothers of failing to store material so it is stable against sliding or collapse.
The citation carries a proposed fine of $12,145. The company has 15 days to accept, settle, or contest the citation and fine.
