Perez-Garcia

PEPIN COUNTY (WQOW) - A charge of sexually assaulting a child was filed Wednesday in Pepin County Court against a Menomonie man.

Pedro Perez-Garcia is accused of assaulting a six year old girl. She said the assaults happened about 10 times, about five years ago, when she was baby-sat by Garcia's wife at a home near Durand.

The girl, who is now 11, told police she came forward now, because she did not want this happening to other children.

Perez-Garcia is also charged with child enticement, and child abuse, for allegedly hitting the girl with a belt numerous times. He denied any wrongdoing

Perez-Garcia is in the Pepin County Jail on a $5000 bond. He returns to court Tuesday, January 19.
