(WQOW) - We're learning more about a man arrested in Eau Claire on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in violence at the Capitol in Washington last week.

Kevin Loftus, 52, is being charged with two misdemeanors; entering a restricted building and unlawful activity including demonstrating in a Capitol building.

According to documents filed in federal court, Loftus' most recent address is the Westgate Motel in Eau Claire. Prior to that, he lived in Chippewa Falls.

The court documents show Loftus posted a picture of himself inside the Capitol holding an American flag and saying he was "One of 700 inside."

In an interview with the FBI on Jan. 9, Loftus admitted walking inside the Capitol on Jan. 6 and said he was on what he thought to be the top floor of the building where he took several photos.

A Facebook comment by Loftus shows him saying he is "wanted by the FBI for illegal entry" (see picture in slideshow above.)
