Eau Claire (WQOW) - Not only are school officials gearing up for the new school year plans, students are as well, and members of North High's Student Council are creating PSA's on how to keep everyone safe when they return to the classroom.

The public service announcements are a series of videos about proper handwashing, social distancing and wearing a mask. The PSA's will be shown on the school's TV's and on the student council's social media accounts.

Student Council Vice President Lauren LaLiberty said she hopes the PSA's help everyone have as normal, and healthy, a school year as possible.

"I think it's important for us to stay healthy so we can go back to school as soon as we can, because for us this is our senior year and I would like to have as normal a senior year as possible," she said. "I also know that we have to stay safe and like know there's a virus around that we have to acknowledge."

Other members of the student council said they're both excited and nervous for the upcoming school year, but say if they work together they can get through it together.
