Paws for the Cause fundraiser begins Tuesday
Eau Claire (WQOW) - Scorch's "Paws for the Cause' is back for its 9th year to raise money for our local K-9 units and animal shelters.
Just like previous years, Scorch, host of Scorch & the Morning on 92.9, will be hosting his Paws for the Cause fundraiser at Milwaukee Burger Company in Eau Claire.
Starting Tuesday, Scorch will be locked inside a dog kennel for nearly four days for almost 24 hours a day; collecting donations for local animal shelters and police department K-9 units.
Even though this may be a very unusual year, Scorch is still determined to make good for the cause.
"Any donation, especially in a year like this, any donation is a good donation. I'm so afraid that people will think, 'well, I don't have hundreds.' If everybody viewing this, and all of my listeners will each donate a buck, we'd have tens of thousands of dollars for Scorch's Paws for the Cause," Scorch told News 18.
You can take your donations to Milwaukee Burger Company Tuesday afternoon starting at 3 p.m. For anyone who can't stop by, 92.9 will also be accepting online donations.
