Dunn County (WQOW) - The man who admitted robbing a local bank and a gas station at gunpoint is going to prison.

Monday, Dunn County Judge Rod Smeltzer gave David Hoffman eight years behind bars and ordered him to repay the money he stole.

Earlier this year, Hoffman pleaded guilty to last October's armed robbery of the U-Fuel gas station near Elk Mound and the armed robbery of the Peoples State Bank in Boyceville on October 1.

In both cases, clerks said he displayed a handgun and demanded money. After prison, Hoffman will spend eight years on extended supervision.
