Employee killed in workplace incident at Augusta plant

Augusta (WQOW) - A worker at Bush's Beans in Augusta was killed on Monday, according to an OSHA spokesperson.
An OSHA investigator was at the plant on Monday.
According to August Police Chief Gordon O'Brien, police were called to the factory and found a 58-year-old woman with work-related "traumatic" injuries.
Lifesaving measures were attempted but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Now, OSHA has up to six months to provide its findings. At that time, Bush's Beans can accept, contest or settle any findings.
Bush's Baked Beans have been canned in Augusta since the 1960s, according to the company website.
There is currently no word on how the worker died.
