Eau Claire (WQOW) - For the first time in months, the Children's Museum of Eau Claire reopened its doors Monday.
Executive Director Michael McHorney told News 18 the museum has a strong plan with new guidelines to keep everyone safe.
McHorney said they've been working closely with the health department to keep everyone safe.
Among the new guidelines, everyone over the age of 6 must wear a mask and only 12 people are allowed in the facility at one time.
"All of the props and exhibit spaces after every use by a family are actually put into a bin," McHorney said. "Our employees go around to every single exhibit and collect those props and then disinfect them. We are actually using UVC light to do that."
McHorney said the museum is also asking everyone to answer a few questions online during the required pre-registration process before entering the building.
