Eau Claire (WQOW) - In the wake of George Floyd's death in Minnesota, many across the country are calling for police to be defunded while others are looking at policing policies from coast to coast.

As part of our Hometown Conversations series, News 18's Katie Phernetton sits down with Eau Claire Chief of Police Matt Rokus.

Rokus discusses how he felt when he heard about Floyd's death and what his department is doing to make sure they hire quality officers.

Rokus also talks about police in the hallways of Eau Claire schools.
