Chippewa County (WQOW) - Here at News 18 we are sitting down with community members and leaders to discuss openly and freely about issues impacting us and the nation with our Hometown Conversations. Our goal is to use our platform and these conversations to spark real, positive change in the Chippewa Valley.

On Monday, Daybreak Anchor and Executive Producer Katie Phernetton sat down with Frank Smoot who is with the Chippewa County Historical Society.

Smoot discusses racism faced by the Ojibwe particularly in the 1970s and 1980s.
