Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - The pandemic has plenty of families itching to get out of the house, and lots flocked to the Chippewa Valley Drive-in's opening night.

Organizers of the pop-up drive-in said they had a sold-out show Saturday night with over a hundred cars attending the late-night showing at the fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls.

One movie-goer, who brought her two young children to see their first movie at a theater, said it was great to be able to make some memories with her family from the safety of their car.

"After kind of a long stay of being together all in the house, we thought this would be a good, safe way to get out, do something different, kind of change it up and bring the family out," said Cami Johnson, an attendee.

If you missed Saturday night's movie, another show will take place at the fairgrounds next week. For tickets, you can click or tap here.
