Eau Claire (WQOW) - Baseball fans now have the opportunity to have their name immortalized in Carson Park through the stadium's 'Fill the Seats' campaign.

The ballpark is getting some upgrades, including replacing the metal bleachers along the first and third base lines with new seating.

For a $500 donation to the project, fans can purchase a personalized seat, baring whatever name they choose.

The funds go toward the park's renovations, which also include new concessions, bathrooms and making the stadium more handicap accessible.

Officials said the renovations have been needed for some time, and will ensure that fans can enjoy cheering on local teams for years to come.

"This capital campaign will benefit for decades really," said chair of the Carson Park Baseball Stadium Renovation Committee Mark Faanes. "The current bleacher system has been there since about 1970. It's a capital campaign to improve the stadium for generations."

About 900 seats are up for grabs. If you'd like to be a part of the 'Fill the Seats' campaign, click or tap here for more information.
