Lake Hallie (WQOW) - Spring-like temperatures and social distancing leave plenty of time for gardening. But flexing out the green thumb may be more difficult this year as greenhouses are currently not open to the public.

Workers at Green Oasis in Lake Hallie said they've had to find new ways to reach customers. The greenhouse is now making deliveries and offering curbside pick-up after receiving orders online.

Garden center manager, Patty Marten, said business has definitely taken a hit during the pandemic.

"It's gone down quite a bit, yes, which, you know, we figured it would be and everything like that," Marten said. "You know, we're doing the best that we can do to keep things going. But the community is helping us out quite a bit so that is awesome."

Marten added the greenhouse is functioning day-by-day and that once the shelter-in-place order is lifted, Green Oasis will go back to operating as normal.
