Eau Claire County (WQOW) - New charges were filed Thursday against a convicted sex offender in Eau Claire.
Tyler Mills is charged with making a bomb scare, a felony that could land him 3 1/2 years in prison.
For Mills, the sentence could be worse given his history. He was convicted of attempted child enticement in 2008.
According to the criminal complaint, while in the Eau Claire County Jail in 2017, Mills told multiple inmates about his plans to kidnap, rape and murder a probation agent and correctional officer.
Informants told police Mills said he also planned to detonate a bomb in the parking lot of the probation and parole office.
Mills will be back in court on this new charge and a pending stalking charge on April 29.
