Prison time ordered for man charged in Eau Claire drug bust

Joshua Hawkins

Eau Claire (WQOW) – An Eau Claire man convicted in a big drug bust case will spend time behind bars.

In October 2019, West Central Drug Task Force informants bought heroin from Joshua Hawkins, according to the criminal complaint.

Police report that during a search of his home, heroin and drug paraphernalia were seen in plain sight. Officers also found fentanyl and dozens of controlled narcotics.

As part of a plea deal, Hawkins pleaded no contest to a variety of charges, including delivery of heroin.

Tuesday, Eau Claire County Judge Sarah Harless sentenced Hawkins to seven years in prison followed by ten years of extended supervision.
