Chippewa County (WQOW) - A Whitehall teen faces charges after allegedly breaking into a home and taking a Chippewa Falls woman's dog.

Ally Hembd is charged in Chippewa County Court with burglary, two counts of theft and dognapping.

According to the criminal complaint, the homeowner noticed her $700 teddy bear breed dog was missing in December.

A person who was with Hembd at the time said she took the dog because she was angry over getting ripped off in a drug deal by the owner's older brother.

When interviewed by police, Hembd admitted to taking the dog and selling it.

The dog was eventually returned to the owner.

Hembd will make her first court appearance at the end of March.
