9 area school groups get grants to address alcohol, drug and vaping issues

Wisconsin (WQOW) - Several local school districts are receiving grants to address alcohol, drug and vaping issues at their schools.

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction announced more than $65,000 is going to 78 student groups across the state.

The program is designed to promote positive peer initiatives.

In our area, nine local school groups received grants - including the Chippewa Falls Leadership Group and Osseo-Fairchild High School Above and Beyond Program.
