Man who vandalized Neillsville church gets committed to mental facility

Seth Meier

Clark County (WQOW) - A man accused of vandalizing a Neillsville church last March will be committed to a mental institution.

Police said Seth Meier of Lublin confessed to going into St. Mary's in Neillsville and damaging statues and wall hangings.

Police said Meier appeared to be using drugs and spoke in demon-like voices.

Wednesday, Meier was found guilty of committing burglary but found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.

He has been ordered to be committed to the custody of the Department of Health and Family Services.
