Barron County mailman arrested for possessing meth on his route

Barron County (WQOW) - A Barron County mailman was arrested earlier this week for possessing meth both at his home and with him on his route.

That is according to the Barron County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said on Monday, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Highway SS near Chetek. There, they found 21 grams of meth.

Fitzgerald said the owner of the home, Tim Wilson, 66, was not home but was later taken into custody while on his mail route.

Wilson had two more grams of meth on him when he was arrested, according to the sheriff.

Wilson was booked into the Barron County Jail for possessing with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released Tuesday on a $10,000 signature bond.

Fitzgerald said the street value of the drugs is roughly $2,300.
