Sen. Ron Johnson requests Hunter Biden’s travel records

Ron Johnson

Washington (WQOW) - Right after President Trump's acquittal in his impeachment trial, Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) sent a letter requesting Hunter Biden's travel records. Now, we are learning his thoughts behind it.

Johnson is the Homeland Security and Government Affairs chairman.

The letter requested information about, "whether Hunter Biden used government-sponsored travel to help conduct private business in China and Ukraine."

Johnson told reporters this was not an effort to damage Joe Biden's political chances.

"We're going to be looking into anything where you may have seen improper use of department or agency. This would certainly be one of those things that the Secret Service was misused in this case."

Johnson insisted the inquiry was to see whether the Secret Service was misused.

The request is due back on February 19.
