(WKOW) - Authorities say two people were hurt after a series of crashes shut down Interstate 39/90 near Janesville for four hours.
There were 20 cars and four semis involved in total, according to Wisconsin State Patrol Sgt. Michael Vasquez.
Vasquez tells our sister station in Madison WKOW a semi hit a tow truck that was out responding to a minor crash. The tow truck hit the tow truck operator, who was outside the vehicle.
The semi was disabled in the road, leading to a series of other crashes.
