Eau Claire (WQOW) - Classes in Phillips Hall at UW-Eau Claire will continue per usual on Monday after a fire caused damage to the building on Saturday.
In a press release from the university, officials said inspections showed that the building's electrical, plumbing, air handling systems and fire alarms are all working properly and did not sustain damage.
Phillips Hall is now reopened to faculty and students, but the Geography and Anthropology Student Research Lab where the fire started is still off limits. The release stated that the lab had extensive damage.
Crews are currently working to clean and repair the lab.
