Eau Claire County (WQOW) - Prison time is ordered for an Eau Claire man accused of sexually assaulting young girls during a sleepover.

Robert Charbonneau, 28, was charged in 2017 with inappropriately touching four girls under the age of 12 at a sleepover.

At the time, he told investigators his urges got the best of him and he knew what he was doing was wrong.

In October, he pleaded no contest to four counts of child sexual assault.

Friday, Judge Michael Schumacher sentenced Charbonneau to 15 years in prison followed by five years of extended supervision.

He must also register as a sex offender and pay restitution for any mental health care the victims require up to $10,000.
