If you are a fan of this dreary weather, you are in luck, because we will see a lot more of it this week. Clouds will stay in place overnight, which will allow temperatures to level off in the low 20s overnight. There will also be the slight chance for some patchy fog to develop.
Temperatures Sunday were nearly steady all day. After starting well above average in the mid 20s this morning, temperatures only made it into the upper 20s this afternoon.
Monday will likely be just as dreary as today, with plenty of cloud cover expected. Temperatures are expected to rise into the low 30s by afternoon.
Tuesday's chances for seeing blue sky aren't much better than Monday's. In fact, nearly every day this week is expected to be either cloudy or mostly cloudy.
High temperatures are expected to sit in the 20s and 30s for the majority of the week. All of this cloud cover will help keep low temperatures well above average for this time of year, considering average lows during the last week of January are only in the single digits.
In fact, this time last year, we were dealing with bitter cold temperatures. The low temperature on January 26, 2019 was -18 with a high temperature of only 6. During the last week of January last year, temperatures hit -30 on both January 30 and January 31.
Even though there will be plenty of cloud cover this week, there aren't any major chances for precipitation aside from the potential for some light flurries or snow showers. Chances for light snow increase slightly heading into next weekend.
