New Richmond (WQOW) - A political newcomer is joining the race for the 29th District Assembly seat which covers portions of St. Croix and Dunn counties.
Neil Kline of New Richmond filed his paperwork this week. He is running as a Republican.
Kline graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2018 and has worked in former Senator Sheila Harsdorf's office.
He said some of his priorities include education, furthering economic development and reforming health care.
The seat is currently held by Rob Stafsholt who is running for the state Senate.
Other candidates in the 29th District include Republican Ryan Sherley and Democrat John Calabrese.
