Gov. Evers recognizes Govin’s corn maze during State of the State

Madison (WQOW) - Governor Tony Evers singled out Govin's Meats and Berries, out of Menomonie, recognizing what the owners did in the fall of 2019.

"People like Julie and John who, after losing a family member to suicide last year, decided to use the corn maze they host at their farm to raise awareness for suicide prevention," said Gov. Evers. "Julie and John are here with us tonight—thank you."

John and Julie Govin had the words “your life matters” and the number to the Suicide Prevention Hotline mowed into the cornfield.
