Eau Claire County (WQOW) - An Eau Claire man convicted of threatening to blow up a hospital will spend time behind bars.
Police said Joseph Walters, 38, made the threat on Facebook.
According to the complaint, Walters was a patient at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital around the time the post was made.
The hospital didn't go into lockdown but they did initiate extra security measures.
In October, he was acquitted of making a terrorist threat but he was found guilty on a bomb scare charge.
Wednesday, Judge Sarah Harless sentenced him to six months in jail with Huber and one year of probation.
