Eau Claire (WQOW) - The L.E. Phillips Senior Center still needs your help in reaching its match goal for a new renovation.

As News 18 has reported, the redesign will focus on revamping its fitness activities and facilities.

Officials said they've already raised $670,000 of their $1.1 million goal.

However, the center still needs a big push before their deadline on Feb. 14.

"The members themselves understand the need for the expansion," Mary Pica-Anderson, the center's executive director, said. "They know that in the end, this will make it a better place for not just them, but the next generation of seniors, as we know this population is increasing."

Pica-Anderson said all the members are thrilled each time a donation gets the center closer to its goal.

To donate, head to their website.
